CV Ana Rosa Rodriguez Cravanzola
Ana Rosa Rodríguez Cravanzola, cultural and entertainment journalist, leads and produces the weekly cultural collaboration on Ballet/Dance/Opera in #ElLiving, magazine, and collaborates with #SodreenEscena, on Channel 5 Uruguay/Public TV Media UY.
Her image appeared between 1986 and 2005 on Public Television producing and conducting “El Mundo de la Danza”/”The World of Dance”, where she interviewed directors, choreographers and dancers; and “Países & Costumbres”/”Countries and Customs”, where she directed notes to diplomats accredited in Uruguay; in 2006 and 2007 she worked in Teams of Production, Inter-institutional and Public Relations. In Public Radios, she led and produced the cultural broadcast “Sin Etiquetas”/”Without Tags” between 2016 and 2022.
She studied Primary and Secondary Education at Crandon Institute, bilingual Institution English /Spanish; completed her Law and Social Sciences Baccalaureate, and studied up to the third grade at the University of Law and Social Sciences, University of the Republic/Udelar.
In 2010 she studied online “Economic Training for Journalists” in the program of the Distance Education Center Foundation for Economic and Technological Development, Ceddet Foundation, and the World Bank. In 2011 she participated in the face-to-face stage of the course in Madrid, Spain organized by Ceddet Foundation and Efe Agency; she was in charge of coordinating the debate “Brazil, Integration Latin America and Autonomy of the Continent”. She also studied “The Correct Use of Spanish in the Media” in a program of the Ceddet Foundation and Fundéu BBVA.
She speaks English fluently and studied French and Italian; she also has notions of German and Portuguese.
Participated in Fondo Capital dance selection committees and in seminars in Presidency of the Republic; Ministry of Education and Culture/MEC; ALADI; Cultural Center of Spain/CCE; Uruguayan Cinematheque; Film Uruguayan School; Municipality of Montevideo; Blanes Museum; Solis Theater; Uruguayan Catholic University/UCU; University of Montevideo/UM.
She published articles in the Latin American magazine Teatro al Sur. Year 4 No. 6, “La Danza en el Final del Siglo. Generar Proyectos a pesar de las Dificultades. Luchas y Logros de un Arte que Busca su Espacio” and in Mercosur Cultural. Encontros com a Crítica. Prefeitura do Municipio e Secretaria Municipal de São Paulo. Reading books is another of her passions, so she presented “La Danza en el Uruguay”, a tour carried out with the Uruguayan Dance Council; “A Pocas Leguas del Cabo Trafalgar”, a novel by Manuel de la Iglesia Caruncho; talks and conferences, “Análisis de la Danza” in the Alliance Française Theater; “Historia de la Danza” in Bento em Dance, Brazil; “Israel: Un Viaje a la Reflexión” in the artistic area of the Udelar; “Impresiones Recogidas en la República Federal de Alemania” in Goethe Institute; and “La Consagración de la Primavera” in Libros de la Arena Bookshop.
She received the following distinctions: “Uruguay Honorary Consular Corps”; “Press Award”, Uruguayan Dance Council; “Order of the Book” Uruguayan Book Chamber; “Medal 1948-1998 Israel 50 Jubilee” State of Israel; “Command of Merit Integration Professional” Bento in Dance; “Tabaré Award” for support of culture in television programs.
She conducted important cultural exchange programs invited by the governments of the Federal Republic of Germany; Federative Republic of Brazil; Republic of Chile; Republic of Cuba; United States of North America; French Republic; State of Israel and the United States of Mexico.
In 2007 she joined the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual of Uruguay/Incau; in 2008, she organized the Cinematographic Audiovisual Authorities Conference of Ibero America and Ibermedia Program Meeting.
In 2009 and 2013 she worked in Institutional Communication, Ministry of Education and Culture / MEC.
The Cultural Center of Spain in Montevideo integrates in 2012 her project for the online radio “Mojana” about Ballet and Dance: “En Puntas de Pie”.
She is a dedicated and well known Dance journalist presenting articles and reports in newspapers and weekly magazines.
